How I earn coin.
I earn money driving a semi-truck, hauling freight around the United States. The pay is good, the freedom is hard to beat, and the gorgeous views are ever-changing. I'll document my journey and share things I find useful over on the blog—especially how this career supports a creative, minimalistic, and nomadic lifestyle. Below, are a few of the highlights.
My FLATBED, LOADED WITH STEEL COILS AT A REST STOP
The photo was taken off the I-80 in York, Nebraska. I was returning from the restroom and was greeted with this beautiful sunset and cornflower blue sky.
Rest stops are nice because you can get in, and get out, which means less clock wasted, and ultimately, a bigger paycheck.
Fresh From detail
June, 2016. The Prime terminal in Springfield, Missouri. Look how clean and shiny she was then. The color of money soaked in absinthe, I dub her "Abby." Automatic transmission, Detroit engine, condo cab. My new home.
Splendid sunset at a Houston, Texas Truckstop
I would have been happy with a parking spot. But I got a bonus: Look at that sky! Just goes to show you can find beauty in the most unlikely places.
